Melinda A. Kennedy-Bennett, age 52 of Fairview, WV died on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at The Madison Center. She was born January 23, 1967 at Fairmont, WV, daughter of Loretta M. Yost Kennedy Jeffries of Waynesburg and the late James Edward Kennedy as well as her step-father Corbin J. Jeffries.
She is survived by her husband Robert Ray Bennett of Fairview; a daughter,
Virginia M. Kennedy and boyfriend Larry Rexroad of Fairview; one sister, Dreama D. and John Henderson of Waynesburg; one brother, James E. and Edna Kennedy of Grant Town, WV; several nieces and nephews including James E. Kennedy Jr. of Grant Town and Heather Odell and a great-nephew, Matthew Myles Kennedy of Grant Town.
Melinda enjoyed playing with her dog, horses, going to the mall and spending time with family during her battle with long term illness. She was a "great" great-grandmother and grandmother to her step-grandchildren. She was a 1987 graduate of North Marion High School. She was a member of the Graysville Fire Dept. #16.
Family and friends will be received at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on January 30, 2018 from 2-6:00pm and also on January 31, 2019 from 9-11:00am with funeral services beginning at 11:00am officiated by Pastor Kevin Arkola. Burial will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
