TILSON Julie January 26, 2019 Julie Tilson, 57, of Wytheville, Va., passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Smyth County, Va. to Marie Davis Tilson and the late Harold Tilson. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Joanna "Faye" Tilson. Julie attended Wytheville Community College, earning an RN. She later graduated from Old Dominion University with a BSN. She worked as a critical care nurse at Lewis Gale Hospital and Wythe County Community Hospital and retired from SWVMHI where she worked as a psychiatric nurse. Julie loved the ocean and spending time with her momma, but most of all she loved her family and God. Survivors include her husband, Don Davis, Wytheville; her mother, Marie Davis Tilson, Marion; sisters, Jennifer Moore and husband Tom, Sugar Grove and Kaye Guy and husband Steve, Marion; niece, Heather Guy and fiancé Mike Lewis; and nephew, Ben Moore. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from the Bradley's Funeral Home chapel in Marion with the Rev. Mike Sage officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the services. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev.
