Green Bay - Michael G. Heck, 69, Green Bay, died on Monday, January 7, 2019, with his son by his side, holding his hand until the angels delivered him unto God. He was born on July 22, 1949 in Bonduel to the late Harvey and Velda Heck.

Mike graduated from Bonduel High School and went on to receive a degree in Business Administration from UW Eau Claire. Mike is survived by his son Christopher M. Heck, and Mike's resilient younger brother John Heck.

Mike was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Order of De Molay and carried their values wherever he went. He loved to explore and see the world. Over the years he saw much of the country in his career as a traveling salesman, and later as a long haul truck driver. He enjoyed history and nature, and often combined the two with camping trips to historical landmarks and Civil War battle sites.

Mike had an incredible, gallows humor that brought a smile to anyone, even on their darkest days. He had a robust character that shined in good times and bad. To those who met him he was always memorable, and among friends and family he will always be missed.

Michael had no interest in the elaborate ceremony of a funeral and per his wishes was cremated. Mike's ashes now reside in the care of his son.
