ROSE MARIE HITCHCOCK MARSHALL was born May 4, 1930 to the union of the late Hansel E. Hitchcock and the late Carrie Leona Waters Hitchcock in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She received her formal education in the Harrisburg public school district and was a 1948 graduate of the former John Harris Senior High School. Rose was employed by the Federal Government at Olmsted Air Force Base in Middletown, Pennsylvania until it closed, and the Department of Defense in New Cumberland Army Depot, from which she retired with 31 years (1985) of federal services. Having accepted the Lord (10-27-1960) as her personal savior, Rose was a lifelong member of Trinity C. O. G., formerly Monroe Street C. O. G. and it's women's ministry (CGWM), where she served in several offices.

Rose transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Friday, January 18, 2019. In addition to her parents, her son Rodney, sister Loretta Gregory, and uncle David J. Waters, Sr. (Mae Liz) preceded her in death. Rose leaves to celebrate her life and cherish the precious memories of her and their life together, her son Judson E. Hitchcock; step-children Gladys and Walter Marshall; sisters Mildred Bethea, Sarah Hitchcock, Mary Hendricks; grandchildren Shantih Dean (Brian), Alethea Rollins (Ronnie); great-grandchildren Jayson (Mollie), Ayana, Harold, Brianna, Arie, Rocco; great-great grandchildren Parker and Remy, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her life will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, February 1st, at Trinity Church of Harrisburg, 244 Harris Street, Harrisburg, with 10 a.m. viewing/visitation. Interment will be at William Howard Day Cemetery. Professional services entrusted to Wallace Funeral Directors.
