Royce Wayne Johnson passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 23, 2019 at the age of 60.  Royce was born on February 1, 1958 to Edward and Beatrice Johnson in Oakdale, CA.  He has been a lifelong resident of Escalon.

Royce leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Connie Johnson, his son, Garrett Johnson (Cristina) and his mother, Beatrice Johnson along with countless extended family members and friends.  Royce is preceded in death by his father, Edward.

Royce was a dedicated employee of the Escalon School District for 29 years as a Bus Mechanic. His years of service ensured that countless students were transported safely throughout the district. Royce will lovingly be remembered as a meticulous gardener, an avid NASCAR & SF Giants fan, and most importantly as an honorable and selfless family man.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel.  A Visitation is scheduled for Monday, January 28th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Deegan Chapel in Escalon.  A funeral service is set for Tuesday, January 29th at 11 AM at Escalon United Methodist Church followed by interment at Burwood Cemetery.
