Linda Ambrose Johnson age 72, a resident of Washington died Friday, January 4, 2019 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital. 
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Oakdale Cemetery officiated by Minister Dennis Davis. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. 
Mrs. Johnson was born in Beaufort County on May 17, 1946 the daughter of the late Fenner Isaac Ambrose and Lola Bowen Ambrose. She was married to Captain Robert Frank Johnson whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Everetts Church of Christ. Linda was known for her love of animals as could be seen by the special love she had and shared with her dog (Lou Lou). 
Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sisters: Geraldine (Jerry) Alligood of Washington, NC; Isabelle Cantrell and husband John of Washington, NC; three brothers: Sherrell R. Ambrose and wife Linda of Asheboro, NC; Fenner Earl Ambrose and wife Faye of Sturgis, Michigan and Linwood G. Ambrose and wife Gloria of Washington, NC. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters: Marie A. Boyd and Shirley Joyce Ambrose and a brother: Denby Ambrose.
