She was born November 18, 1955 in Lynchburg, a daughter of Mildred Ballou Farmer of Altavista and the late Roy Warren Farmer.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Larry Colbert, Jr. and fiancé, Heather Carter of Farmville; her daughter, Laura Bennett and husband, Mark of Altavista; her sister, Karen Newton and husband, Jeffrey of Fredericksburg; her step son, Timothy Witt, Jr. and wife, Emily of Concord; her step daughter, Kristen Witt of Lynchburg; eight grandchildren, Leighton Bennett, Olivia Scott, Jacob Colbert, Amber Bennett, Madisyn Colbert, Kaitlyn Colbert, Roxie Witt and Riley Witt; and one great grandchild, Jayden Mata.
Linda was a wonderful mother and grandmother and the most loyal and loving wife to her husband and best friend Tim. She loved her family and kitties more than anything. The family would like to thank the extraordinary health care team at UVA Medical Center for the dedication and compassion over the past years.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Altavista Memorial Park by Larry Evans, Minister.
