Mr. Campbell was a Self-employed Locksmith for 35 years. He was a Veteran, having served in both the Merchant Marines and United States Army during WWII. He was a longstanding member of the Associated Locksmiths of America, Lions Club, and Moose and Elks.
He was son of the late John R. Campbell and the late Mamie E. Sanford Campbell. He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara A. Campbell; two sons, Thomas (Helen) Campbell of TX and Bunky (Judy) Campbell of Mechanicsville, MD; three daughters, Lori (Stephen) Boyle of Harrisonburg, VA, Cindy Campbell of Mechanicsville, MD and Darlene (Kenneth) McAuley of Charlotte Hall, MD; and two brothers, Gilbert (Shirley) Campbell of FL and Preston (Yvonne) Campbell of Berlin, MD. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11am at Hughesville Baptist Church, 8505 Leonardtown Road, Hughesville, MD 20637. Rev. Keith Corrick will officiate. Interment will be private.
