Dennis Robert "Dennie" Doyle
Louisville - Dennis Robert "Dennie" Doyle,76, passed away surrounded by his family in Louisville, KY on January 24, 2019.
A wonderful and loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 53 years, DeLois Crady Doyle (originally from Lebanon Junction, KY), daughter Wendy DeAnn Doyle (Terry O'Mahoney) of Louisville, KY; son Dennis Todd Doyle (Qing Doyle) of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughters, Caila and Isabelle Doyle; his sister Ruth Lickteig and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He also loved his three grand-dogs, Bella, Coby, and Molly.
He was preceded in death by his mother Verna Doyle. Raised in Louisville's Pleasure Ridge Park area and a 1962 graduate of Male High School, Dennie was a professional musician from the age of 14 and a long-time member of the American Federation of Musicians Local 11-637. He led his own band, The Graduates, for over 40 years and performed with countless other professional musicians in the Louisville area. Dennie was in the Army Reserves during the 1960s and is also a retiree from Heaven Hill Distillers.
Funeral services will be 11AM Monday, January 28, 2019, at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with burial to follow in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-6PM Sunday, January 27, 2019, and after 9AM Monday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the Hospice staff at Norton Pavilion in Louisville.
Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of Contributions to Hosparus of Louisville or the Humane Society.
