Frances married the love of her life, Luther Eugene Hobbs, on December 7, 1944 and they were married 63 years. Luther preceded her in death in 2007. She was a devoted mother of six and proud Grandmama of 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Frances was a long time and active member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ. She enjoyed her visits with shut-ins and residents at Christian Care Center, always baking cakes to take to them. She loved quilting, crocheting, and working in her flower gardens. Her grandchildren have great memories of playing many games of Chickenfoot. She enjoyed the time that she and Dad were able to travel with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughters; Sue Hunter, Lanell (Tommy) Dugan, Paula (Greg) Hooten; sons; Arthur (Nancy), John (Mary), and Doug (Cheryl); sisters Geneva Hobbs and Joyce Ramer; and brother, James Sweat; many nieces and nephews; and devoted caregivers Flo, Vonnie, Eunice, Al and Kia. Mother will be missed by many but her loving memories will be treasured.
