Janeth M. Satre, 75, of Brainerd passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society-Woodland in Brainerd. Janeth was born on December 14, 1942 in St. Paul, MN to Edward and Althea (King) Schornstein. She moved with her family to Brainerd in 1944 and had been a lifelong resident of the Brainerd Lakes Area. Janeth married Allan Paul Satre on February 19, 1966 in Brainerd. She worked for Northwestern Bell before beginning her 20-year career as the church secretary for Park United Methodist Church. Janeth enjoyed arts and crafts. She loved volunteering and was honored as Outstanding Lay Person of the Year for the Brainerd School District.

Janeth is survived by her children: Bill (Shelly), of Brainerd and Jim (Penny) of West Linn, Oregon; her grandchildren: Alex, Chris, Abbie and Jack; and a brother, Richard Schornstein.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents, Edward and Althea; and a brother, Ed Schornstein.

Memorial services for Janeth will be on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 2p.m., at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with Pastor Leslie Hobson officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Brenny Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service
