Mrs. Betty Byers Norwalk, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away the morning of January 22, 2019. She was 98 years old.

She was a member of Harbor City Christian Church in Melbourne, FL.

She was preceded in death by her second husband Edward Norwalk of Rockledge, Fl and by her first husband of more than 50 years, the late Donald W. Byers of Waynesboro, Pa., her beloved daughter Francis Ann Byers, and son Donald W Byers Jr., one brother Arthur Pottorff Jr., sister Francis Pottorff Wentz of Melbourne Fl., and two grandchildren Bryan Arthur Wilson and Charles Bryan Byers.

She is survived by her daughter Winifred Elaine Byers of Powder Springs, Ga, and son Jon Arthur Byers (Linda) of Cumming, Ga. She has three grandchildren Julia Dulgar (Chris) of Powder Springs, Ga., Landon Wilson (Tina) of Kennesaw, Ga., and Jonathan Byers (Jill) of Atlanta, Ga. She has five great-grandchildren, Justin Dulgar, Jacey Dulgar, Jamerson Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Chloe Byers, and four great-great-grandchildren Hannah, Holly, Justin Jr, and Avalyn Dulgar.

Born December 21, 1920, she was one of three children of the late Arthur Clayton Pottorff and Martha Jane Martin Pottorff in Waynesboro, Pa.

Mrs. Byers was a successful businesswoman in Atlanta and Smyrna before retiring and moving to Rockledge, Fl. She was also the former Treasurer at Wickham Park Senior Center and served on the Board of Directors for her community at Amer-Cana Resorts. In her later years, she enjoyed board games, Bingo, and spending time with friends and family.

Since childhood cancer has affected 2 of Mrs. Byers grandchildren the family asked that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in Betty Byers name to the:
