Pastor Jack L. Scott was born in Marion, Ohio, being the 7th of 8 children born in the Scott family. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting Administration.

At the age of thirty-one, Pastor Scott accepted the call of the Lord on his life. Pastor Scott’s passion for the Word of God and the desire to see souls saved was an apparent sign that God had a greater plan for his life.

Pastor Scott accepted God’s call to become a Pastor. In September 2003, by the leading of the Holy Ghost, Pastor Scott and Lady Scott started a fellowship in their home. It started off with prayer and bible study, later they added Sunday morning services. Sunday services was more than a worship service, it was also a time of enjoyment, fellowship and dinner. Pastor Scott was the Sunday school teacher, bible study teacher, pianist, choir director and ministered the Word on Sunday mornings.

God gave Pastor Scott a vision and therefore Higher Heights Tabernacle of Praise was birthed in December 2003. The Lord helped the Scott’s to secure a beautiful building for worship services.

Pastor Scott was a man of integrity and honor that devoted his life to serving God and God’s people.
