Graveside Services honoring the life of Ms. Barnes will be at 2 PM Tuesday January 22 at the Little Flock Cemetery in Tishomingo County. Arrangements will be provided by New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care.
Bonnie was born May 3, 1934, in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, and was the daughter of the late Alton Bal and Lona Marie DeFoor Barnes. A 1955 graduate of Burnsville High School, Ms. Barnes moved to Texas, where she became a model for the Glasstron Boat Corporation. She was employed as an insurance agent for many years until her retirement.
Ms. Barnes returned to North Mississippi where she had been a resident of Corinth for over 20 years.
Ms. Barnes is survived by two nephews, Jerry Barnes and Larry Gattis, her long time friend, Sandra Berry and childhood friend, Vic White.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Charles and Scottie Barnes.
