Jan Rawls James entered into eternal rest on Jan. 14, 2016. Jan was born on July 20, 1945 in Port St. Joe, Florida, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.E. Rawls.
Jan graduated from Louisiana State University with a Master’s Degree in English and later returned to school and received a degree in accounting.
Jan had a genuine passion and love for her animals, gardening and cooking. Jan’s most sincere loves were her beloved husband, son and grandson. Jan was preceded in death by her mother Gladys Rawls, father Bryant Rawls and brother Bryant Rawls, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 48 years, Crawford James, Sr., son Crawford James, Jr., grandson Justin James, daughter-in-law Stephani James, sister-in-law Sandra James and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jan will be forever loved and missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Reception will be held at the Church of the Little Flower Catholic Church Reception Hall in Evergreen, LA from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. CT Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016.
