Joe Cephus Richards, 76, of Martinsville passed away on January 23, 2019. He was born to the late Charlie and Mary Holt Richards. He was also predeceased by his daughter; Betsy Shields and brother; Jake Richards.
Mr. Richards was a 1962 graduate from Meadows of Dan High School. He was a lineman and home installment technician for 40 years. He began with Lee Telephone Company through Sprint.
Mr. Richards is survived by his wife; Marjorie Epling Richards, daughters; Rhonda Shelton, Becky Cox (Garry), son; Patrick Stanley (Laura), brother; Pete King (Nona), sister; June Allen (Mark), three grandchildren and, one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at McKee Stone Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home with Reverend Lewis Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
