Mr. Harold Delaney Fletcher was born on January 6, 1964 to Hazel Mae Fletcher. He departed this life on January 21, 2019 at Decatur Morgan Hospital / Decatur General Campus. He confessed Hope in Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Fred Toney. He was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Dereck Dewright Fletcher and Alcindor "Bo-Bo" Fletcher and His Oldest Sister: Marsha Lorraine Fletcher-Allen. Harold was a graduate of East Limestone High School Class Of 1984. He was affectionately known to his family as "Grub, Laney, Delta" and to his precious grandson Logan, he was lovingly referred to as: "Paw-Paw." Harold was the cook of the family. He could fry,, bake and filet fish better than any world renowned Chef. Harold was also a die-hard Alabama Crimson Tide and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He loved Black and Gold. STEELER NATION!! He leaves to cherish his memories, His Loving and Devoted Wife of 31 years: Candies Grays-Fletcher. 1 Son: Marquez (Kandies) Fletcher. His Precious Grandson: Logan Fletcher. His Loving Mother: Hazel Mae Fletcher. 4 Brothers: Carl (Gloria) Caudle of Belle Mina, Alabama. Patrick (Lisa) Fletcher of Madison, Alabama. Shun (Felecia) Fletcher and Johnny (Cynthia) Fletcher all of Tanner, Alabama. 2 Sisters: Shonda Fletcher-Peeples of Madison, Alabama. Patricia (James) Washington of Triana, Alabama. A Very Special Mother-In-Law: Birda Mae Swopes Grays. 3 Sister-In-Laws: Rachel Grays of Triana, Alabama. Shirley (Virgil) Jones of Trinity, Alabama. Melinda (Paul) Goode of Birmingham, Alabama. Harold was loved by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles other relatives and friends. Under the directing of Sharpley Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 12:00pm at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church (7565 Greenbrier Rd. Madison, Alabama). Rev. Joe H. Cater, Pastor-Officiating. Burial in New Hope Cemetery. The body will be in church 1 hr., before the services.
