Leona Catherine (Glass) Willis, 92, of Ruckersville and formerly of Scottsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at her home.

She was born on August 22, 1926, in Fluvanna County, a daughter of the late Samuel Boswell and Hilda (Neale) Glass.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Debrew Bruce "Paul" Willis; a son, Paul Bruce Willis; and a sister, Audrey Seay.
Leona retired from GE in Charlottesville and had also worked at the former Uniroyal Tire Factory in Scottsville. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Scottsville and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a daughter: Linda Willis Murphy and her husband, Bill of Ruckersville; a son: Kenneth W. Willis and his wife, Jeanette of Scottsville; two sisters: Ruby Willis of Scottsville and Doris Graves of Stuarts Draft; a daughter-in-law: Dorys Willis of Scottsville; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home by Pastor David Morris. Interment at Scottsville Cemetery will be private.
