Evelyn V. Browning, 87, of Fostoria, passed away March 19, 2016 at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital. She was born June 17, 1928 in Senoia, Georgia to the late Ralph and Olga Mae (North) Carmichael. Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Valerie (Charles) Richardson, of Rochester, New York, granddaughter, Ebonee Browning, of Toledo, great granddaughter, Serenity Leu, of Toledo, special friend, Duane Jackson, of Fostoria, and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby M. Harris, Julia Mae Carmichael, Velma “Ruth” Smith, Donna Fairley, stepsister, Rosetta Williams, and special cousin, Robert North. Evelyn volunteered at the sharing kitchen in Fostoria. She loved fostering children and donated monthly to the Feed the Children program, and sent clothing for those in need. Evelyn’s request was to be no visitation or services. MANN HARE HOENING Funeral Home, Fostoria, has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fostoria Sharing Kitchen or to the American Cancer Society.
