Michael Ray Willingham, age 66 of Whitesburg, passed away January 23, 2019. He was born January 31, 1952 in Summerville, Georgia, son of the late Claude Willingham and Annie Ruth Fowler Willingham. He worked in the construction industry for more than 30 years as the owner, operator and painter of Willingham Painting. He attended Message of Christ church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Cheatwood. He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Jane Warren Willingham; five daughters, Amanda Thrower of Carrollton, Rachael Harrison (Laron) of Douglasville, Melinda Willingham of Carrollton, Linda Shirey of Newnan, Michelle Willingham of Chattanooga, TN; son, Justin Willingham (Jade) of Bowdon; sisters, Lori Wright of Carrollton, and Debbie Dentmon of Lagrange; brothers, Phil Willingham and Ricky Willingham both of Carrollton; fourteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Curtis Holloway and Mr. Ricky Willingham. Interment will follow in Bowdon City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be David Baskin, Laron Harrison, Darnell Wright, Barry Warren, Gary Warren, and Michael Thrower. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Thrower and Malicah Harrison. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
