Chad Christopher Palmer, 36, of Ft. Myers, FL, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019. He was born on June 24, 1982, in Springfield, the son of Scott H. and Susan Prentice Palmer.

Chad graduated from Springfield High School in 2000. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting in 2011, and his master’s in Accounting in 2015 from the University of Montana, graduating with honors from both programs. He was employed as a CPA for 21st Century Oncology in Ft. Myers, FL.

Chad enjoyed hiking, snow skiing, snowboarding, white water rafting, reading, and spending time with family on holidays and vacations.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Lee Palmer [FAG Memorial #92302854], and his grandparents.

He is survived by his parents, Scott and Susan Palmer of Big Sky, MT; brothers, Michael Palmer of New York, NY and Jeffrey (wife, Domingas) Palmer of Big Sky, MT; four aunts; four uncles; and seven cousins.

Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.

Funeral Ceremony and Visitation: 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, Springfield, IL, with John Standard officiating. Visitation will follow until 6:00 p.m.
