Graveside services and interment for Betty Jean Clark Hayes, 58, were held Monday at the Aspen Hill Cemetery in Jackson with Pastor Dan Abrams officiating.
Mrs. Hayes died Monday, Nov. 28 at Michael Manor in Douglas after a battle with a stroke and lung cancer.
She was born Aug. 28, 1936, in Jackson, the daughter of Laurence V. and Jessie M. (Shinkel) Clark. She was reared and educated in Jackson. She married Robert E. Hayes on June 1, 1954 in Jackson. She lived in Rock Springs for 9 years, working as a cook at the Cook House for Questar Pipeline Co. She moved to Glenrock in August of 1993 because of her ill health.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Okerson of Green River and Terrie Patterson of Makakilo, Oahu, Hawaii; two sisters, Lois Curtis of Las Vegas and Eva Mitchell of Correlius, Ore.; one brother, Bill Clark of Glenrock; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, two brothers, and two sisters.
A memorial to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
