John A. Hendricks, 78, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 2:20 PM on Monday, January 21, 2019 at IU Health-Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. He was born on Sunday, December 15, 1940, in Blackford County, IN. He married Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Gordon on Wednesday, November 29, 1961 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Hartford City, IN.. John was a 1958 graduate of Hartford City High School. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Hartford City, IN. He retired from General Motors after 37 1/2 years of service. John enjoyed his vehicles, but above all he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family. He loved attending his grandkids sporting events.
He will be sadly missed by his Wife - Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Hendricks, Hartford City, IN, Sons - John (Bree) Hendricks, Metairie, LA, Jay Hendricks, Montpelier, IN, Grandsons - Tanner Hendricks, Tryse Hendricks, and Great Grandson - Leighton Hendricks.
He was preceded in death by his Father - Robert H. Hendricks, Mother - Genella (Maddux) Hendricks, Brother - Robert Hendricks, and Sister - Betty Cain.
