Donald Lee Cross, 71, of Green Valley, IL, passed away peacefully Sunday surrounded by his family, January 20, 2019 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, in Peoria.
Donald was born February 14, 1947 in Broseley, MO, to Chester C. Cross and Mary Robinson. He married Brenda K. Bonnette Brush. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Tracy (Bill) Kirby of Chillicothe, Shelleena (Jim) Bolson of Pekin, three sons, Steven (Angelique) Brush of Green Valley, Scott (Bettina) Brush of Dallas, Wade (Stacy) Brush of Mackinaw, 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, three sisters, Peggy (Ray) Tipton of Fisk, MO, Ruth Reed of Washington, Patty Barcomb of Washington.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Joyce, one brother, Chester David, two grandsons, Daniel and Steven.
With over 40 years of service Don had retired from Caterpillar. He had also been a Peoria Park Police officer. He was a member of UAW 974, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Don was also an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.
Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday, January 25, 2019 at Haensel Funeral Home in Mackinaw. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday January 26th. The Pastor John King will officiate. Burial will be at Mackinaw Township Cemetery.
