Mrs. Cooper died at 8:42 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Cooper was a lifelong resident of Jennings/Roanoke and was a hair stylist. She loved Christmas and all holidays, she always had to match and she loved doing anything that involved her family including cooking and doing hair.
She is survived by her husband Horace “Bud” Cooper of Roanoke; two daughters, Kristin Laidlaw of Jennings and Summer (Brandon) Harkins of LeBlanc; two sons, Shannon Laidlaw of Jennings and Kyle Wayne Cooper of Roanoke; three sisters, Patricia Mickelson of Mesa, AR, Brenda Miller of Evangeline and Joetta Gentry of Jennings; and 8 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Willa Mae Comeaux Duhon, one sister, Peggie Deshotel and one brother, Darrell Duhon.
