ALBERT ADAMS
Great husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Albert John Adams, 80, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 18, 2010. He was born Dec. 20, 1929, in Litchfield, Calif., and was an 80-year resident of Nevada. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve for seven years and was a retired small business owner. Al loved outdoor activities, such as camping, fishing, hiking, off-road racing, drag car racing, NASCAR and football. He climbed Mt. McKinley several times with his sons, nephews and friends. Al was preceded in death by his wife, of 36 years, Ruth Adams. Al is survived by his children, John (Patricia), Monica (Dieter), Bruce (Thao) and Shanda (Chris); sisters, Gail Hardy and Lynn Lovegrove; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinsons Association.
