Ray Franklin Allen of Anadarko, OK. passed from this life December, 5th, 2018 at the age of 86 with his wife Of 66 years at his bedside.

Ray "Frankie" was born September 15th, 1932 in Anadarko, Ok. to Modelle Lillian and Otis Franklin Allen. He grew up in Anadarko and graduated from Anadarko High School. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard. Ray served in Korea as a Forward Observer with Battery B 158th Field Artillery. Following his return from Korea, he wed his high school sweetheart, Linda Lou Gibbons. They were married June 16th, 1952.

Ray graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1959 as a Medical Doctor. In 1960 he was commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant General Medical Officer at Tripler Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He did two tours of duty in Hawaii, two tours in Okinawa, Japan, one in Denver, Colorado, one in Los Angela's, California and one in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. While in the service he was awarded the Army Occupation Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Korean ServiceMedal (Bronze Star) and three Overseas Service Ribbons. He retired from the service in 1982 as a Lt. Colonel.

During his medical career he specialized in Pediatrics, Pediatric Allergies, and Radiology. He continued his medical practice as a Radiologist in Dickinson, North Dakota where he was Chief of Staff at St. Joseph Hospital. He then moved to Jamestown, North Dakota where he was in private practice until he retired in 1992. Ray & Linda retired to a beautiful location in Camp Verde, Arizona where they enjoyed their favorite hobbies. Ray enjoyed traveling in his Mooney airplane and Motorhome. He loved to fly and build small aircraft. He also enjoyed scuba diving, running, and telling stories.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Otis and Modelle Allen of Duncan, Ok. His brother Curtis Merle Allen of McAllen, Texas and his brother John Robert Allen of McAllen Texas. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Lou Allen of Anadarko, His children Louvaughan and Greg Chedester of Harrah, Ok., Cindy and Rick Moore of Anadarko, Ok., Brent and Dee Allen of Mesa, Arizona, Ginny and Brian Rummel of Dickinson, North Dakota, Diana and Tom Sopp of Harwood, North Dakota 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and his Aunt Lucille Allen of Sun City, Arizona, several nieces and nephews and a team of loving caregivers.
