Blanche Mae and her brother (William Carol) were born 9/24/1928 in Bancroft, Nebraska. He passed away at his home with his parents on 9/26/1928 while the older siblings were at school.

Their mother, Emma Caroline Jensen Pratt, was very ill from the twins' birth. Their oldest sister, who was born in 1915 (Dorothea), held and rocked William the entire night as he gently cried in a moaning way. He was mourned by his Mother for the rest of her life. Blanche Mae often said it felt like a part of her is missing.

Blanche married Daniel Paul Smith Jr. In 1951 Columbus, Ga. He passed away July 19, 2004.

Survivors include a daughter, Gayla Joy, and her husband, Don Rayls, Topeka; and grandchildren, Joshua Paul Douglas, Topeka, and Jonathan Patrick Douglas. Many Nieces and Nephews will remember Blanche and Paul with warm memories. Both will be greatly missed.
