William L. (Will) Cowdin, 87, prominent and well known resident of the Delphi community, died at 9:30 Wednesday morning in Home hospital where he had been a patient since Thursday. Funeral services for William L. Cowdin, 87, 315 West Main street, Delphi, will be Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Jackson funeral home in Delphi with the. Reverent James Rankin officiating interment will be in Masonic cemetery. Mr. Cowdin died Wednesday morning at 9:30 in Home hospital where he had been admitted Friday after being in ill health for some time. A retired plumbing and heating contractor of Delphi, he had owned and. operated the Cowdin Plumbing Shop until its sale three years ago to Max Myers.
Born June 8, 1874, in Delphi, his parents were Joseph and Mariah Reynolds Cowdin. His marriage was to Julia Gros who died in 1958.
Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Harriet Parker of Phoenix, Arizona; a brother, Tom Cowdin of Brookston; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today, Thursday. Odd Fellows services will be conducted at the funeral home at 7:30 Thursday evening.
