Louisville - Daniel Glen McQueen, 51, of Louisville died with dignity and grace at his home in the presence of family and friends on Saturday, January 19, 2019.

Dan was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Leona "Blanche" Daniels, with whom he looked forward to reuniting. He is also preceded by his father Cecil McQueen.

He worked for the Rawlings Group and is a graduate of McKendree College.

Dan is survived by his devoted husband and best friend, Tony Schmuckie.

He is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Kenny Adair and their children, Tyler and Shawn Josephs and Evie and Trey Adair, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dan is also survived by his husband's family: parents-in-law, Ruth and Bill Schmuckie; brother-in-law, Danny Schmuckie (Debbie); sisters-in-law, Tina Wheatley and Julie Schmuckie (Carrie); nephews, Shaun Schmuckie (Amanda) and Matt Wheatley; nieces, Jessica Crick (Chad), Stephanie Schmuckie (Nick), and Amber Wheatley; and great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

His memory will also be cherished by countless friends.

Dan and Tony extend their deep appreciation for the attending care of friends, family, Hosparus of Louisville and the Brown Cancer Center.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 23rd at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. Dan's funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m., with burial following in Valley of Rest Cemetery at LaGrange, KY.
