Mrs. Harris was born January 26, 1955, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Robert and Vivian Hill Betts. A 1973 graduate of Hogansville High School, she was employed by Bellsouth for 13 years before staying home to raise her daughters. She then spent the rest of her life working and volunteering at the schools that her daughters and grandchildren attended. Teresa was a founding member of Harrisonville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Harris of Harrisonville; daughters and sons in-law, Katie and Clay Ward of Carrollton, Amanda and Daniel Blaylock of Harrisonville,; brother, Bobby and Dianne Betts of Jonesboro; and grandchildren, Payton Hamilton, Emma Ward, Lilly Ward, and Allie Blaylock.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Eddy Wood will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night.
