Angela Victoria Walton, affectionately known as “Vickie”, daughter of Mary Boone and the late James Boone, was born on September 17, 1959. She departed this life on March 27, 2018 at Maryview Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia. Vickie graduated from Manor High School in Portsmouth, Virginia. Vickie attended Morning Star Baptist Church as a child. She has been a faithful member of Tabernacle Church under the leadership of Bishop Marcus D. Brown, Sr. since its inception. Vickie always found a reason to have a family dinner or some type of family gathering at her house. “We will miss those great gatherings. We will probably still have them, but it won’t be the same without her.”
Vickie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Walton. Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Mary Boone and her stepfather, William Boone; her siblings, Mario Slade (Mary), Tim Jackson of Portsmouth, VA, Valerie Annette Scales (James) of Fayetteville, NC, Shawn Boone of New York, James A. Boone (Viola), Eldridge Boone (Alberta), William Boone, Jr. (Kiesha), and Tasha Boone, all of Portsmouth, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and her best friend, Doretha Williams.
