Chesapeake - Sherry Melton Golden-Lawson, 51, died January 1, 2016. A native of Chesapeake, she was predeceased by her father, Phillip Duke Melton; and brother, Phillip Hugh Melton. Sherry retired from Bank of America after 22 years and sold Princess House Crystal for many years. Survivors include two daughters, Kristina Golden and Kendall Lawson of Chesapeake; and her mother, Edna E. Fleming of Corapeake, NC.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 1 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel on Tuesday from 6-8 PM.
