Portsmouth - Virginia H Porter, Resident of Churchland House in Portsmouth VA, departed this life on July 31st. Her end of life care was managed by Heartland Hospice. Virginia moved to Cavalier Manor in the City of Portsmouth in 1972. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and beloved friend. Virginia retired as a communications operator for the Navy (Portsmouth Naval Hospital). She was volunteer for Hospice, Meals on Wheels, and a civic community leader. She will be greatly missed and cherished by many.
Virginia's life will be celebrated at Metropolitan Funeral Home, 10 am Monday, Aug. 7th at 5605 Portsmouth Blvd, Ports. VA
