FAULKTON - Mrs. Bessie H. Rue, 84, died Saturday at an Aberdeen hospital. Her funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Leland Grams officiating. Burial will be in Faulkton Cemetery.
She was born in Vienna and grew up in the Willow Lake area where she lived until 1942. She married Oscar Olsen at Willow Lake on May 18 1907. They moved to Salem, Ore., in 1942 and he died there in 1954. She married Lewis Rue in 1957 at Salem.
Mrs. Rue lived in Oregon until 1971 when she moved to Faulkton where she lived with her daughter.
She is survived by a son, Alvin Olsen, Martinez, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Mae Burr, Faulkton; two brothers, Theodore, Wold, De Smet, and John Wold, Huron; a sister, Mrs. Lucy LaMont, Willow Lake; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, a daughter, three brothers, three sisters and a great-grandchild.
Funeral arrangements were announced by Sorum-Langslet Funeral Home.
