Jerry Clyde McDaniel was called to Heaven on Thursday, January 17, 2019.

Jerry was born in Fort Worth, Texas on April 21, 1944 and spent his childhood in several states as his father was transferred to different bases as a Marine. As a young adult, Jerry volunteered for three tours of Vietnam during the Vietnam War in the Air Force. Jerry had a servant's heart, and serving his country was just one of the many ways he helped others. As a Regional Manager for Tandy Corporation, he helped thousands of employees become successful in their careers by guiding and mentoring them. After retiring from Tandy Corporation, Jerry was excited to dedicate his time to his family. He never missed an event that his wife, his daughter, or his grandchildren had, and was often seen off the sidelines of the event with a camera in his hand. Jerry continued his service to others by teaching Sunday School, being an active Mason in the Tabernacle Lodge and Sunrise Lodge, and being a truly wonderful father and grandfather to not just his daughter and grandsons, but to their friends as well.

His wife, Linda Bevil McDaniel, was the love of his life and the two of them could often be found at the coast boating, traveling to Houston to see family, going to movies, and just simply being together. Jerry's faith in God was a constant in his life. He walked in the truth of this relationship, and it shone from within him. His family takes comfort in his peace with God, and knows that he has been reunited with not only his parents, but his son Jerry, that passed to Heaven at the age of 29.

Jerry's family requests that if you would like, please consider a donation to the Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas in his honor.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, his daughter Hannah (Ashley), his grandchildren, Jacob (Courtney), Sidney Clyde, Aidan James, and his great granddaughter, Madison.
