Henry Allen Parker, 85, of American Fork, Utah, passed away, peacefully, on Wednesday, 16 January 2019, surrounded by family, in Lehi, Utah.

Allen was born in Wiggins, Colorado on May 9th 1933, to the late Stephen Walter and Ida May (Kinser) Parker. When he was just three years old, Allen moved with his family to Spanish Fork, Utah where he spent his youth and graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1952. In his twenties, he enlisted in the Navy.

In May 1957, Allen married Loretta Bowman in American Fork, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized on 18 November 1961 in the Logan, Utah Temple. To their union was born nine children. They moved to American Fork where they spent the next forty-five years.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Allen enjoyed serving in many callings. His favorite, though, was being in the nursery. He and Loretta also served, together, when they cared for their stake's baptismal font in the American Fork Tabernacle building. The couple also served as missionaries from 1997 - 1998 in the Montana Billings Mission.

Allen retired from BYU, where he had worked in their HVAC department; also, from the Navy and the Utah National Guard.

Along with his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Parker, and their three eldest children, Jeanette Fraughton, Nedra Merrell Manookin and James Steven Parker.

Allen is survived by Judi (Ty) Fraughton, Curtis (Dori) Parker, Jason (LuAnne) Parker, Shawn (Melanie) Parker, Adrienne (Matt) Ball, and Martin (Heidi) Parker, 34 grandchildren, and 13½ great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the American Fork Hillcrest Stake Building, 165 North 350 West, American Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah, and again on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church prior to services. Interment will be at the American Fork City Cemetery.

Allen's family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the amazing staff and residents at Harmony Hills in Lehi. They appreciate the loving care given their dad, brother and grandfather.
