George Crane, 80, Dies In Hospital
Painter In Ill Health Long Time
George Crane, 80, 1902 Chestnut street, passed away at 1:50 o'clock this morning in Levering hospital where he had been a patient two weeks.
Mr. Crane, a painter by occupation had been in poor health for a number of years.
He was born on August 24, 1868, in Marion County the son of Alexander and Sarah Settles Crane. Surviving are several cousins and a foster sister, Mrs. Hazel Waddell, who was reared by Mr. Crane's parents after having been taken in their home at the age of five years.
The body was removed to Smith's funeral home and may be viewed by friends after Wednesday noon and until the time of the service when the casket will be closed and not reopened. Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the funeral home with interment in Greenwood cemetery at Palmyra.
