Mrs. Lee Ruth "Katie" Warren, age 87, native and lifelong resident of Blairsville, passed away on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 in Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville.
Mrs. Warren was born in Blairsville, and was the daughter of Jewell Harkins and Edith Gillespie Harkins. A loving homemaker at heart, "Katie" loved to cook, and she was very good at it. She was very happy when cooking for large groups of family and friends. Her husband, Junior Warren, preceded her in death. "Katie" was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Sunday, January 20th, 2019, at 3:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, GA. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetry.
