was named for the nearby fabled silver mine, Silver World, up old
Heath Valley road from Highway 8 East; possibly linked to Spanish
gold diggings in the 1500s.

Lead Hill Cemetery
This was the largest cemetery moved by the Corp of Engineers. The Old Lead Hill Cemetery was located at the junction of Ark HWY # 14 and Ark HWY # 43 just outside of the town of Lead Hill. SW corner of the SW 1/4 of NW 1/4, S4, T20N, R18W. The graves in this cemetery were moved to the Milum Cemetery to the north of the town of Lead Hill. (SE Corner of SW 1/4 of SE1/4, Sec 5, T20N, R18W, Boone Co, AR). Milum Cemetery was an existing cemetery and a new addition was built to the North of the existing cemetery for the re-interments. If the grave included a tombstone the tombstone was moved with the body.
