FARMINGTON — Pvt. Thomas M. Kinney, 18, of 34 North Main St. died Oct. 10, 2001, at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Hospital in Augusta, Ga., after a sudden illness, while training at the U.S. Marine Corps Base at Paris Island, S.C.
Born May 1, 1983, in Biddeford, Maine, he is the son of Sean and Eleanor (Carrier) Kinney.
Mr. Kinney lived in Farmington most of his life. He graduated from Farmington High School, Class of 2001 and later entered the U.S. Marine Corp. Tom enjoyed rock climbing and playing the guitar but enjoyed the many friends he had. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Members of his family include his parents, Sean and Eleanor Kinney of Farmington; his brothers, David and Aarron Kinney, both of Farmington; his fiancé, Jessica Lewis of Farmington; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Church of the Redeemer, Wakefield Street, Rochester.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Redeemer with Rev. William Romer officiating.
Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington following the service.
