Major League Baseball Player. For seven seasons (1975 to 1976 and 1978 to 1982), he was a pitcher with the Milwaukee Brewers, New York Mets and Atlanta Braves. Born Thomas Matthew Hausman, he attended LaVerne High School in California where he was a star basketball player. Selected by the Milwaukee Brewers during the 10th round of the June 1971 Amateur Draft, he made his Major League debut on April 26, 1975. After he was acquired by the Mets, he enjoyed his most successful years, notably in 1980, when he produced a career-high six wins, while pitching in 55 games. In 160 career, regular season games, he compiled a 15 win, 23 loss recored, with a lifetime 3,80 ERA, in 441 innings pitched.
