Graveside services for Mary Barron, 84, of Lubbock, formerly of Lamesa will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Mark Hackett officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Mary passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in Lubbock. She was born September 1, 1934 in Brownfield to O.L. and Iva (Aytes) Jones. She married David Barron December 2, 1956 in Lovington, NM. He preceded her in death June 29, 2015. They were married 58 years. Mary was a homemaker and she also helped her husband with farming. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and visited with them as often as she could. She enjoyed spending time at their home in Ruidoso and on the deer lease. Her hobby was taking care of her loved ones. Mary is survived by her children, Lee Barron, Judy Barron both of Lubbuck, Hal Barron of Dallas, and Rob Parker of Lamesa; sister, Juanellle McDaniel of Lubbock; brother, Kenneth Jones of Granbury; grandchildren, Jarrod Barron, Cody Barron, Jake Barron, and Dustin Dawes; and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Geraldine Bishop, and Carolyn Patterson Akers; and brothers, Clifton Jones, and Oscar Jones.
