MARION - Mr. Melvin Darmon, 76, husband of Ruby Rewis Darmon of Marion passed away at his home January 17, 2019 after a brief illness.
Mr. Darmon was born October 1, 1942 in Marion County, a son of the late Luther and the late Daisy Christmas Darmon. He had worked with Supreme Lighting in Mullins.
Surviving Mr. Darmon in addition to his wife of the home are two sisters, Ruth Spivey of Supply, NC and Rosa Lee Williams of Conway; and a brother, Marvin Darmon of Sellers.
Melvin was predeceased by two brothers, Herb Darmon and Fred Darmon; and two sisters, Levie Wilson and Gladys Yarboro.
A funeral service for Mr. Darmon will be held Saturday, January 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Johnny Hyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Sweat Cemetery in Latta, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
