MILLS, Frederick (Fred) - Passed away peacefully, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Monday, October 6, 2008, at 84 years of age. Devoted husband of 59 years to Betty (nee McColl). Son of the late Albert and Lily Mills. Survived by three daughters, Sandra (Grant) Shaw of Nanaimo, B.C., Sharron (Terry) Buttler of Ottawa, ON, and Susan (Chuck) Tomlinson of Linden, AB; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He is also survived by his brother, Bob (Margaret) of Mississauga. He is predeceased by his daughter, Sarah; and brother, Bert. Fred was a Charter member of All Saints Anglican Church, Waterloo. He was also a proud Veteran of the Second World War and recipient of the Pacific Star. Fred retired from Laura Secord/Smiles 'n' Chuckles in 1989, following 49 years of service. At his request, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to All Saints Anglican Church or the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society can be made by calling Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home at 519-742-4481.
