Mrs. George was born on July 22, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York and was the daughter of the late Russell Robbins and Marjorie Colson Brown. She was a secretary at James Madison University and Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas. She was the director of Pioneer Girls Club Bellerose Baptist Church in Bellerose, New York. She taught violin, enjoyed needlework and assisted people with passing their United States Citizen Exam. She was a member of Peoples Baptist Church.
On November 30, 1945, she married Homer Lee George who survives.
Also surviving are two children, David Titus George of Albany, Ohio and Priscilla Ruth George of Morganton, North Carolina.
Pastors Richard Forsythe will conduct a funeral service on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Peoples Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Briery Branch Cemetery.
The family receive friends prior to the service at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Moody Bible Institute, 820 N. LaSalle Blvd., Chicago, IL 60610.
