Funeral Services for Linda Fay Arthus Rainwater, 65, of Cross Roads are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Cross Roads with Bro. Frank Upchurch officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Beck’s Chapel Cemetery.
Linda was born June 22, 1953 in Athens, Texas; the daughter of James Laroy Arthus and Eddie Laquieta Stephens. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cross Roads. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed.
Linda passed away on January 16, 2019, in Athens with her husband and daughter by her side. She lived a life faithful to her Lord and was a servant of His work.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Brenda Kay Lee, and Beverly Ann Robertson and one nephew, John Eric Lee.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Douglas Rainwater of Cross Roads; children, Jason, and wife Mindy, of Savannah, James Cole, of Cross Roads, Alisa Faith, of Cross Roads; brothers-in-law Billy Lee and Jimmy Robertson, both of Cross Roads; sisters-in-law Paula, and husband, Mike Moore, of Cross Roads, Teena, and husband, Roy Linder, of Malakoff, Lee Ann and husband, Roger Millender, of Chandler and brother-in-law, Kelly and wife, Diane Rainwater, of Brownsboro as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers: Johnnie Rainwater, Jerry Rainwater, Brian Lee, Rhett Moore, Larry Millender, and Weston Rainwater. Honorary pallbearers: Brandon Jenkins, Mike Rainwater and Vernon Rainwater.
