Willie Carroll Byrum - 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Estelle Byrum of Corapeake, NC. Carroll was a kind and loving father, grandfather and friend to many. His devotion to his family and to his church were of utmost importance to him. Carroll's entrepreneurial spirit and business savvy led him to start several successful small businesses. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved family; wife of 47 years, Reta Byrum; children William Scott Byrum (Dawn) and Stephanie Byrum Carpenter (Chris); sister Joyce Byrum McLawhorn; brother Al Byrum (Lydia); grandchildren who brought him so much joy Kylie, Kara and Ian Carpenter and Jake Byrum; nephews, Todd and Will Byrum; niece Angie Aleksa; and faithful family friend and colleague CG Miller.
