Martha Sue Hopper Elliott, 70 years, of Hominy, OK passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Claremore, OK on November 4, 1948 to John Hopper, Sr. and Delphine Harragarra Hopper.

She was a majorette for the HHS Band and the 1966 Hominy Buck Football Queen before graduating in 1967.

Martha enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially during the holidays. Her favorite past time was watching her grandsons play baseball for the Hominy Bucks. She also enjoyed being around her special friends Donna Crawford, Denise Lacrone, and Kay Hunter, whom she was so grateful for.

Martha was a member of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe, as well as a descendent of the Osage tribe. She looked forward to the Osage I-Lon-Shka and the Otoe-Missouria Encampment each summer.

Martha is survived by: daughters; Sara Hensley and husband Kent of Hominy, Tia Jefferson and husband Dennis of Mannford, son; John Hartness of Mannford, sister; Jan Gaebler and husband Carl of Owasso, brother; Daniel Hopper of Hominy; six grandchildren; Skyler, Seth, Channing, Mia, Jayden, and Ethan, six great grandchildren; John, Lykan, Iris, Bentley, Lincoln, and Jolene, aunts; Marilyn Dailey of Hominy and Delores Harragarra of Carnegie, as well as numerous family and friends.

Martha is preceded in death by: parents; John Hopper Sr. and Delphine Harragarra Hopper, brother; John Hopper Jr. sister; Mary Francis Hayes, grandson; Taylor Willits.

The funeral service was held on Monday, January 7th, 2019 at the Hensley Family residence with the Pastor Claudia Lovelace and Scott Lohah officiating. Burial followed the services at A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, OK.
