Jane L. "Janey" Ray, 81, of Cortland, formerly of Howland Township, died Tuesday morning, January 15, 2019, at Over The Rainbow Center in Cortland. She was born April 19, 1937 in Warren, the daughter of the late Harold Neal and Clara Irons Pringle. She had been a lifetime Trumbull County resident. Janey was a January 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and was very involved with her class reunions. She enjoyed planning and participating in fundraising garage sales in Howland and also enjoyed attending garage sales. She loved antiquing and collected antiques. Janey enjoyed being outdoors, yardwork and flower gardening. She stayed connected with her many friends by telephone. Janey most loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a homemaker most of her married life, but worked for ten years at the jewelry counter at the Eastwood Mall Sears store. Janey was a longtime member of North Mar C&MA Church. Janey is survived by one daughter, Jennifer (Dan) Wearsch of Vienna; two sons, Jeff (Bernice) Flood of Venus, Texas and Jon Flood of Fowler; four grandchildren, Michael, Loren, Meredith and Pete; three great-grandchildren, Hailie-Marie, Haydyn and Louisa and one brother, Fred (Gwen) Pringle of Florida. She was preceded in death in 2016 by her husband of nearly 31 years, George O. Ray, whom she married August 3, 1985. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. service time. Burial will be at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund at North Mar Church in Warren.
